As a pre-requisite a Myotherapist will possess a Diploma in Remedial Massage or some equivalent recognised qualification. Whilst Myotherapy traditionally focused on muscle, it has expanded today to encompass nerve, tendon, joint and bone dysfunctions.
The main differential between a Myotherapy and Remedial Massage treatment is the additional methods and expertise that a Myotherapist can draw on. These include but not limited to, advanced MFR(MyoFascial Release), MET(Muscle Energy Technique) and ART(Active Release Technique), dry needling and cupping.
